Tips on searching for a Toastmaster Club.

The linked pages list all the Toastmasters clubs in District 30, which includes the Greater Chicago area within Cook, Du Page, Lake andMcHenry Counties in the State of Illinois.

We make no guarantee as to the accuracy of this information; clubs occasionally will change their meeting days, times, locations, or contact phone numbers. Most clubs welcome visitors, but call first to confirm meeting details.

Unless otherwise specified, clubs are open to all. There are two classes of restricted Clubs: those closed to a company or organization (shown in red) and those limited to a certain class of Toastmaster (shown in green). Occasionally closed company or organizational Clubs may include "family" or "retired" persons from the company or organization for membership.  Red and green restricted Clubs are explained within the Club's listing on the linked pages.

Tips on searching for a Toastmaster Club

If you're looking for a club outside of our District boundaries, check the Toastmasters International web site at http://www.toastmasters.org/find/default.asp

Within District 30

(1) Usual: Where You Live or Work.  The pages linked above provide a helpful way to find District 30 Toastmaster Clubs which are convenient to your home, employment, house of worship, family member's home, etc.- whichever may best fit your schedule.   (And if  there are none, then you should click on top of this page!  Also, click here to see if there is a new Club forming in your area.)

(Note:  The next two Tips offer a convenience for searching.  At this time those pages are developed and updated separately.  Therefore, you may use Tips 2 & 3 to help identify Clubs which meet your criteria, then return to this page and select the appropriate geographical listing in order to obtain meeting and contact information.

As an example, a guest interested in joining a community Club in ‘greater Waukegan area’ which meets on a Monday or Tuesday evening could check out candidates using the day/time and/or zip code locators.  One would then return to this page and click on the ‘Lake County” link to obtain complete information on Look Who’s Talking, Daniel Wright and Deerbrook Park Clubs.)

(2) ~Map of all District 30 Clubs  (pdf, 319k; as of November 2002. "Thanks!"  to Mary Ellen Scott!)

(3)  Sometimes the day and time of meetings are key factors.  While meeting information is included in the details in the pages linked above, we present a listing of our Clubs by meeting day and timein order to enable a search of those criteria.  (Page closed temporarily.)

(4)  District 30 also has a number of specialty Clubs which you may wish to consider if you meet their requirements.  As it mentions in the teeny tiny print just  above on the left, these Clubs are coded in green on the Club locations pages.  For a complete listing and details of our specialty Clubs, please click here.

Note to Club Officers:
When reporting changes of meeting days, times, locations, frequency, etc., you must notify both Toastmasters International and District 30.
