Toastmasters International has membership contests throughout the year.  The 20+ Club recognition ribbon goes to Clubs who have 20 or more members for the period of July 1st through June 30th.  Also, Clubs that achieve a net increase of 5 or more members in that period also receive that award.  So set your goal for the year to receive the 20+ Award.

Talk Up Toastmasters! is the spring contest for February and March.  Set your goal to get 5 new members in this period and win recognition for your club!  It starts with inviting as many guests as possible to attend your club meeting.  Add five members from May 1, 2003, through June 30, 2003, and Beat the Clock.

As a District lets set our goal the next six months to see our membership grow by reaching these awards.   "Congratulations!" again to the Smedly Award winners.   Keep up the good work.

Earl Bateman, DTM
District Governor
