Polyglots Toastmasters, the only German-speaking Toastmasters club in the United States, will host an open house in honor of its 15th anniversary, on March 4 at the Des Plaines Public Library at 9:30 a.m.  The featured presentation will be a panel discussion of high school German teachers discussing the present and future of German instruction in the US.

Polyglots began in 1991 as the first German-speaking Toastmasters club in the world. Today Polyglots has nearly 20 members from throughout the Chicago area.  Some are native Germans, and some are Americans who learned their German in school or abroad.  The club meets the first and third Saturdays of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood St.  Any adult who speaks German, at any level, is welcome.  News Release (Word, 37k); Sprechen Sie Deutsch?
